Feiert mit uns unseren letzten Geburtstag in unserem tollen Backyard! Es ist unser Vierunddreißigster. Am Samstag, den 6 Juli, feiert das Molotow sich mal ausnahmsweise selbst. Es geht schon nachmittags los und es spielen uns verbundene Bands wie Goblyn, Wasting Pigs uvm.
Anschließend gibt es Karaoke - und das alles draußen bei eventuell vielleicht sogar mal einigermassen gutem Wetter. Ansonsten auch unterm Schirm…

Wasting Pigs are a Hamburg-based duo consisting of two mysterious masked musicians. Coming from unknown origins many scholars and academics have tried and failed to get to the bottom of this enigma, one of the only clues being their deep southern accents. One thing is clear though, these fellers sure ain’t from round these parts.

Talk of vanishing deep in the bayou, riding the rails, being arrested and southern cooking set the scene when Wasting Pigs takes the stage. This horror/twang inspired twosome’s sound unifies the country and doom genres. They fluctuate from heavy enough for moshing to melodic enough to sing along with and everything in between. The guitarist, known as Wasting, provides mostly clean vocals while the drummer, Pigs, uses a more gruff and aggressive tone for the heavier tracks.

Much more than just a musical performance, Wasting Pigs keep the masses thrilled with on-stage antics and stunning displays of clownery, twisted balloons, tall tales and ghost stories. In fact with their crowd-working one might consider the audience the third member of the band. Their “let’s not take this too seriously” style of entertainment isn’t limited to their live shows though as the two included three radio-plays on their debut EP, Wolfman and other tall Tales.

Doorway Effect ist eine Alternative Rock/Metal Band aus dem Norden Deutschlands. Mit ihrer Musik wandern die vier Hamburger fließend zwischen harten Riffs, ungewöhnlichen Sounds und melancholischen Melodien. Sphärische Longtracks, straighte Rocksongs, Balladen mit wütenden Shouts, alles kann, nichts muss. In der Vergangenheit auch als eine Mischung aus Nackentraining und verträumt die Augen schließen umschrieben, ziehen Doorway Effect den Hörer in eine Klangwelt, bei der man nie genau weiß, was hinter der nächsten Ecke lauert.
Momentan produziert die Band in Eigenregie ihr Debütalbum. Als Vorgeschmack darauf, haben sie bereits zwei EPs auf diversen Streamingplattformen und drei Videos auf Youtube veröffentlicht.

PUTTING THE FUN IN FUNERAL: Energiegeladene Drums treffen auf ein Gewitter aus fuzzigem Bass und eingehenden Riffs. Dieser aufregende Kontrast, gepaart mit angenehm launischen Vocals, macht es gar nicht so leicht die Newcomer aus Hamburg in eine Schublade zu stecken. Der junge Alternative Rock bewegt sich zwischen Soft Grunge und Garage Revival, lässt aber Raum für Einflüsse aus verschiedenen Genres.
