Melbourne’s Private Function have spent the last seven years carving a reputation as
one of the country’s most explosive, unpredictable and essential outfits, whose on
and off-stage reputation and unhinged marketing tactics precedes them at every turn.
Fuelled by a wicked concoction of bratty quips, nostalgia-fuelled gags and an
anti-authoritarian charm distilled with the majesty of rock and the pageantry of roll,
Private Function’s feverish following should come as no surprise to even a casual
observer, with their devotees constantly riding the PF tsunami alongside them and
expediting their cult-fuelled rise to the top.
It's from way up here that the PF freak flag unequivocally stakes its claim.

Sodakill
Sodakill brings their playful and raw energy to incited crowds wherever they go. Their
hard-rocking, surf-punking music knocks you straight into a fuzzy wonderland of
warm hugs. You feel like fire floating on a cloud.
Sodakill have quickly taken Sweden by storm with their unique brand of soda punk -
a genre loved by punk fanatics and metal lovers alike. The secret lies in the eclectic
mix of influences among the band members: surf punk, doom, glam and pop, which
ignites the spark in the most slumbering music hearts. With just one year of live
shows behind them, the band has quickly earned a reputation as downstrokes
queens, moshpit instigators and worshippers of collective screams and headbangs.
It's hard to compare Sodakill to other bands, but many have made valiant attempts
with references like Refused, L7, Turbonegro and Bikini Kill. Sodakill picks the
cherries out of the cake and bakes a dirty confetti bomb with grunge sprinkles. After
several singles and EPs, their first full-length album was finally released in December
2024. After a busy live year in Sweden, people all over are now yearning for their
world tour.
